1.9 General Comments The STRENDA Commission recognizes that any recommendations on the standardization of experimental conditions will require broad discussions within the scientific community. The platform of these discussions is the accompanying series of biannually held ESCEC symposia. The next symposium will be held in fall 2009. Both, the ESCEC symposia as well as the work of the STRENDA Commission are organized, coordinated and financially supported by the Beilstein Institut. First biochemical journals adopted the STRENDA checklists for their instructions to authors (Journal of Biological Chemistry, Biochemistry).
